Default tire rubbing

i just slammed by ej8... but now the front tire is rubbing on the rubber screw and plastic cover in the wheel well... is it because of the offset of my wheel? or theres nothing i can do except raise it up a lil bit?

The tires are too big for your '97-00 Civic, and that's why they're rubbing. On 16" wheels, you should be using 205/45-16 tires, which won't rub if the wheels are the proper offset.

Just sell those all-season Ziex tires. You don't need crappy all-seasons in SoCal. Then go buy some good summer tires. The Tire Rack has the 205/45-16 size Kumho Ecsta SPT, excellent tire, at an outstanding price, $57 after rebate.

205/50-15 shouldn't rub on your car. Maybe you have a suspension problem... (blown shocks, bent control arms, etc)? Or that wheel could be bent or something...

if the shock were blown i would think it would ride a lot worse. the upper control arm is new (omni) maybe the lower? wheel is not bent. i have no idea. gonna take it to the dealer and get it diagnosed i guess.
