Good idea to wire radiator fan to run all the time?
I have a turbo and my engine now has to dela with the extra heat. Would wiring the radiator fan so that it turns on when I start the car, and shuts off when I turn the car off be a good idea to help the cooling? Has anyone else done this? Thanks.
you probably don't need it running when you're just cruising down the highway.. but a switch would be nice if you're in the city, or if you're gonna be pushing your car hard for a while.
I have my A/C fan wired that way and it works in the city but not on the highway. in fact i put my tranny cooler in front of it and it pulled the tranny temp down 20*F....so it must work ( and yes i have guages to see it working).
