wheel hop probably did it in.. i've seen people break axles on all motor setups making less than 200 hp, yet i've managed to run stock axles on my turbo build and have yet to snap one ..

KNOCK on wood..

hopefully you'll get ur axles problems taken care of..

Umm, the axle didn't snap. The halfshaft snapped. And nope , I don't have wheelhop. I was at the track, launched at about 5500rpm, and the car didn't even move. I just heard a snap...

Yea dude my boys snaped at MIR right at the line snaped right were the spindal goes into the tranny, Clean cut we couldnt believe it

oem halfshaft or the "15% stronger" one? Thats even worse, snapping it where it goes in the tranny . Now I have to figure out a way to get that spline thing out of my axle

THERE GARBAGE, i had like 10 passes on mine took it out with the new tilton twin disc, that halfshaflt never stood a chance, i slipped the clutch out on 9 psi of boost and sheered that bitch right off inside the trans, lucky for me my buddy had a spare stock honda one

Isnt this called an intermediate shaft? the halfshaft is part of the cv axle..the shaft inbetween the 2 cv joints. on each axle.
So did you have a lot of wheel hop? I have crazy wheel hop most of the time and im only making 160whp..but, i havnt broken anything yet.

the axle is a DSS stage3.

no wheel hop at all. did about 4 passes at the track. launched at 5500 and as soon as the clutch engaged SNAP. car didnt move.
