These come chrome plated; i was wondering if there was some way i could go about painting them black? What do you think the best method for painting these would be? Do i need to leave the keyhole part at the top chrome? I'm looking at getting these to complement my factor x cf hood, i can't really lock it down that tight with the hood latch because i have the bra installed and as a result i had to actually raise the latch to get the hood to close, i'm thinking hoodpins, and especially locking ones can't hurt. Also anyone have any exp with the spectre brand of hood locks? They seem to be totally flush with the hood.

OH MY...i saw those at a car show recently....and i really want those for my CF hood. If they are chrome plated, which is what that looks like to me. I would just heat them up a little bit in the oven, maybe scuff them up a little bit with sand paper then just paint them.

BTW where can i get those from?

looking through other posts here, search for "hood" in this forum some guy has been running them for over a year with no rust or breakage so i'm assuming that they are much higher quality than the jdmhondaparts ones, people have had problems with those as far as rust etc... -rob
