Default Possible to fix rear defroster?

the car is a 92 civic dx hatchback. I dont know if the defroster worked when i first got it or not.

the problem:

when i got the car it had tint residue on it, from the previous owner removing the tint. that stuff made it hard to see out of the window so i got some razor blades and tint remover spray and went to town on it. well, i scraped off some of the lines for the defroster

im thinking im probably gonna need a whole new glass (not that bad since its a hatch its easy to replace) but i was wandering if there is anyway to fix the lines?

once again, i dont know if this is the problem (i know i didnt help it any by scraping the lines off), i never tried the rear defroster when i first got the car so i dont know if it ever worked to begin with.
