Default Converting to RHD - HELP

Well I guess I don't know anything about converting my car to RHD but I'm trying to look into it. I've searched multiple times and all I can seem to find is other threads saying that there's another thread about it floating around; so I've decided to make my own. I have a few questions that are probably easy to answer and a few that require a little more write-up/thought. To help you guys out I have a 97 Civic coupe. So far though, I have the following:

What all do I need to convert to RHD? (Yes, include the obvious.)
How much is everything going to cost?
Is it possible with my d16 motor right now?
How exactly would I convert to RHD?
Can I/should I do it on my own?

Please post here with help or advice only. Don't tell me to search or to find the other thread floating around about it. Kthx.

We'll start here. In short, no, not if you need to ask. If you want to pay someone, you can let them worry about the rest the details. I would start smaller. Fabricate your own strut bar, exhaust, etc. Once you feel comfortable with fixing all the little problems that come along, then you'll be able to answer a lot of your own questions. Personally, I would build my own kit car before attempting a RHD conversion. Definitely start with simple fabrication and work your way up. Especially if this car can't sit on jackstands for two years.

I agree with him, if you have to ask, then no, you can't do it on your own.

What do you need...

a JDM (RHD) front clip, that's like the front half of the vehicle (firewall & dash). From there everything's just plug 'n play. Have to take out the engine and such, swap firewalls, take out dashs, swap them, put the engine back in, relocate the battery to the opposite side (or more commonly the trunk) and you're ready to roll...that's it in a nutshell

Search because this topic has been beaten to death. There is a small walkthrough thread created by E. Honda and I suggest you PM him with your questions.

i will still answer your questions even though youre too lazy to search, but ill only give you the short basic answers.

1. Car, RHD Front Clip.
2. Its going to cost too much but im not really 100% sure. im going to say upwards or in the neighborhood of 3g's.
3. Yes you can use a d16.
4. You need to drill out the spot welds from your current car and re-weld the RHD drive clip/parts onto your current car.
5. You should do it on your own however it seems like you wont be able to simply because you dont know enough about it yet. the work involved is very extensive.
