Autobody guys chime in please.
Quick, but serious question. I was in an accident a couple weeks back. My insurance company wants to write-off my car, for a really low price cause the damage is extensive or something.
What I want to ask is if this is repairable. Suspension is fine.

Mods, please move to correct forum if this is in the wrong place.

yea cuz from the pic u posted it looks to be repairable but a pic from directly above the engine bay would be helpful to determine, cuz this pic doesnt really show how much its pushed in, if any at all

looks like it might have whacked the apron.
its repairable for the most part as long as it didnt effect the strut tower IMO.
but the question is do you want to pay for how much its going to cost to fix that. which will be alot.

Strut tower is fine. Nothing pushed in other than the rad support (i think that's what it's called).
My insurance company wants to write-off it, but if it's repairable (seems to me like it is, thought i'd ask here too though), I'll argue against it, and tell them to repair it.
I'll see if I can get better pics.

well if its really just the radiator support, i'd just tie some rope around there and pull it out fairly straight, do some adjusting with a bfh (big ******* hammer) and replace neccessary body panels.
like someone else mentioned, if the apron isn't effected, or the frame isn't bent out of place on the drivers side, GO FOR IT!
if you are really unsure, id bring a hammer and pull that fender away from the wheel, and try driving the car (unless the radiator is blown) to see if it drives straight.

Drives perfectly fine, other than turning left cause my tire will rub against the fender.
I think I'm gonna tell my insurance company I want it to be repaired.

wouldn't they cut you a check if it's a total loss? if so, buy it back for cheap and use the money they give you to fix it. if the apron wasn't affected, that is. more pics would be helpful...
I had similar damage on a car that I had and they totaled it. The insurance company does not want to take the risk that the damage is not more extensive that it appears. The body shop are the only people that will be able to determine that. The insurance adjusters have seen enough cases to know that it might be worse that it looks. It is easier for the companies to just total the car and cut you a check, they have enough money to do it. And on top of it....they dont have to deal with the case until the body work is done. And have to deal with a person not being satified with the work.
I bought my car back for like $500 and they gave me $3800. I fixed everything...like the hood, front bumper cover, fender and bent lower control arm.
I ended up having money left over, because I didnt paint the replaced parts...luckily i didnt because about 6 months later I was run off the road by a pickup truck (and flipped over) and was paid out for the car once again.
