He'll get off easy. He's somewhat of a "celebrity".

Even if the law goes soft, I think his business will suffer. Most, if having a choice, would rather buy a custom from someone who dosen't kill motorcyclists while drunk, i'm sure.

I'm sure I'm stereotyping a bit here but I think the type of people that would buy from him don't consider those who ride scooters motorcyclists. Some may even be drunk enough to say he did the world a favor... but like I said, I may be stereotyping.

Oddly enough, its the sportbikers that don't want to have anything to do with scooters, i've found. After a puzzled look or two, the Harley guys are always the first to come up, ask about it, and try and see under the hood. Not the new wave leather folks, but the older ones who grew up on Cushmans, Harley Toppers, and Allstates. Then again, perhaps it is not the type of bike, but just the age?

Prolly... most sportbikers are too young to remember the (g)olden days of scooters.

Speaking of (g)olden days, you ever consider doing a retro shoot with yours?

Most likely. Would love to do a (g)olden shoot - just don't have the right "accessories" to sit on it.

(shot from this weekend, rode down from DC to Lynchburg, spent some time getting lost and exploring backroads and the like)

*thread officially far off topic*

My monitor hasn't been calibrated in a while - does it look underexposed to you?

It's slightly underexposed and the white balance is off. I'm guessing the camera metered off the sky. Do you have a UV filter on the lens?

The problem with Schu's picture is the contrast is set high enough that the sky and trees look washed out. There's a "Shadows and Highlights" function in Photoshop that will let you raise the brightness of dark tones without hosing stuff like the sky.

You can't blame Schu. The trees in the background were fuzzy in the original. You can't gain any definition if the original is fuzzy.

Oops! ...and now, for something completely different...

Never really liked his bikes anyway. Watching him 'build' one for the show, I would never even consider riding one as his always seem to have some type of issue...like not starting, burning up saddles...etc.

fuzzy != washed out

My comment has to do with contrast, not definition.
