you may get me to bite dedpending on how much loot i have after i book this trip in a few days, i see you mentioned theres 4500 hundred actuations on it, does the higher the number of snaps affect the quality or life of the camera? and is it the black or silver body?

Cool....The higher number has no effect on the quality. It just shows how new it is basically. Canon rates their newer camera's shutter life to about 100,000 actuatons. Most sell their EOS cameras with 15000+ actuations.
