is my motor a 1.5 or 1.6

Ok i have a SOHC Non-vtec ZC motor but i don't know if its a 1.5 or 1.6 liter and does anyone know if its a D15 or a D16 motor, heres a pic from the website that the motor was bought from http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30018

yeah that like the first thing i did and all it says is "ZC" so i went searching online and i can't find any Info about it besides how much Hp it has but i can't find out if its a 1.5 or 1.6

thats what i thought cause i swear its just like a D16a6 but JDM not only that but i need to buy a new oil pan and just wanted to make sure it was a 1.5 or 1.6

they are all 1.6L. there wasnt ever a 1.5L zc.
the only way to prove it is to measure the bore and stroke of it.. but .. that would be a waste of time. as far as i know, the d15, d16 and zc all share the same engine block with the possible exception being the dohc zc... just pistons and rods, head choice and cam and crank were the variables.

Yes, that's the D15B VTEC motor, not a ZC. ALL blocks stamped with ZC are 1.6L. The only other ZC "variants" are the D16A8/9 found in EDM vehicles, they are identical to the JDM DOHC ZC's.

no nono , there were two versions of d15b, vtec and non vtec. What i was trying to say is that the only jdm engine that i knew of that was 1.5 was a d15b.

Although the D15B JDM is not a ZC, being JDM does not automatically make it VTEC either. I have a D15B JDM NON-VTEC to prove it.
