Just fellow honda tech members. Is there anyone that is willing to rent me their ECU (USDM) so I can BAR my car.

I can give you a P72 Virgin USDM while I borrow yours. I will pay money to rent. Just be fair.

as for the ecu, you're on your own, but you might as well try and pick one up off somebody used. i don't think anybody's going to "rent" you their ecu. good luck at the ref.

P72 OBDI from an integra for a B16a2?

hey guys correct me if I am wrong but to BAR a car in California the ECU and engine must match.

I am pretty sure a b16A2 is obd2 therefore you cannot pass with an obd1 ecu. I believe you need a p2T ecu which is pretty cheap compared to a p30.

edit:seems like I am wrong lol they made a obd1 b16a2. anyhow u need the ecus to match. just take it to a normal smog place. if there is no check engine light they might pass it.

 

wat year is ur b16a? is it a 94-95 del sol vtec b16a3 obd1? or is it a 99-00 si b16a2 obd2b?

i have a 93 si with a 94 b16a3 complete with usdm p30 ecu, i pass with flying colors cuz it has to match according to motor, ecu, and year. good luck mang.
