Default brake adjustment after rear break install?

Is there a way to adjust my break pedal so its stiffer. I just changed out my rear rotors/pads and the break is feeling a little soft, i need to almost floor it to break hard. If i could have it so just a light step would = more braking. also, when doing a rear break job, do i need to bleed the front breaks too? are they on the same system, or will bleeding the rears be all that it takes?

Bleed your entire system, install SS lines, then put in high performance fluid. (high boiling point)

Should stiffen your pedal right up.

Yeah, the front DS and rear PS brakes are on the same line, while the front PS and rear DS are on the other. Bleed!!!

I have to say thanks as well, i had no choice but to bring my lude to some cheap auto shop becaues my pistons blew up while i was driving. rolled into the parking lot of the shop. they did a **** job on the brakes and left my lude with that exact feeling. not to mentions they stole my ss brake lines and replaced them with shitty ones as well my k&n filter. i too will replace the lines and brake fluid

Damn, you should get in their face about that stuff. Anyway, to the original poster, I'd suggenst redoing the bleed yourself and see if that helps. If not, maybe the thread adjsutment on the rear pistons is too far in. How much space did you have between the pads and the rotor when you installed the caliper? It should barely have enough clearance to go on, then the pads should travel against the rotor when you press the brake pedal and stay there.

thanks guys, i am going to buy a speed bleeder this weekend and bleed the lines in the order that was mentioned before.

Now is there a way to do the same thing to the e brake? Make it stiffer. It's better than it was before the brake job, but still not amazing. I cannot lock up the tires with it when driving, not that I want to, but you think it would have the capability. I put in all premium rotors, and ceramic pads on front and back. i know its done by cable, so is there someway to tighten it?

There is a way to tighten it, yes, there should be a cable underneath the center console. I believe there is a bolt somewhere.. tighten that.

Don't pull it when driving, though. Bad idea.
