Default Cabin-Mounted Twin Turbo Automatic Maxima

NOT MY CAR! Taken from a different forum..(http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_to...=413656&page=1)

This 3rd gen Maxima actually runs and drives.

"The turbos. Twin K03s, running in parallel pushing 8psi."

"I plan on making a heat shield/ explosion guard that will seperate me and them somewhat. I know they are going to get very hot, but I don't plan on having this be a traveling vahicle. I already have earplugs, I think I will hear them spool plenty. Even over the sound of the exhaust."

I read his lil description before I looked at the pics... I was wondering why he thought he needed a scatter shield.

That looks crazy as as far as the fabrication goes but would you like to be that close to all that stuff while you are driving?

I think the guy has a deathwish. There's absolutely no reason to mount them that way!

Well, it is understandable to relocate the turbos on a VG.

The car is so damn hard to work on as it is but the turbos on the stock 300ZXTT are like, under the car, and are a complete bitch to get to. Atleast those will be easy to reach, but come on.

Two IC's?

Aren't those MUSTANG wheels?

I think he's a bit confused.

If it was a 300z I would agree, but it's a Maxima - much easier to access everything. My brother has a turbo VE Maxima, and it's got plenty of room all over the place after a battery relocation.

It seems to me like it would be more of a PITA cutting and routing all the plumbing into the cabin than it would have been just by putting one in the engine bay.

Is it me or does the car have the turbo system inside the passenger side of the car and also have a seat in the same spot?
