Default moroso high capacity pan and oil pressure Q's...

i have a high capacity moroso oil pan. i did not think to order the pickup with it as well, but they sell a high capacity pickup. instead i just used a regular gsr oil pan pickup... will this have any effect on oil pressure, or are both, or all pickups for that matter pretty much the same?? i sometimes feel as if vtec doesnt kick in strongly the way it used to and am starting to wonder about oil pressure coming from the dart block im running. granted, i used to run skunk 2 st. 2 cams in my old high compression gsr w/ ctr pistons, which used to RIP when vtec popped, and now just run b16 cams in the low compression dart block for now, without the turbo. could it just be the transition from cams, plus compression drop, or is there a possibility that i am not getting enough oil pressure??? all thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated!!

Not familiar with your set up, but it sounds like you are running the stock oil pump. If the pickup is submerged enough in the oil, there should be no problem. A larger quantity of oil will not give you greater oil pressure. The pump's output capacity determines the pressure, assuming the supply is adequate.

naw i know the amount of oil does not affect the pressure, my question was if the stock pickups and the moroso high capacity pickups were any different... the two factors (pickup question and cam factor) that i mentioned might not be relative at all to oil pressure. was asking for my own knowledge, (or lack of it)
i thought maybe the high capacity oil pickup from moroso might have more surface area for pickup, or any other factor that would make it a necessity on the high cap. pan, as opposed to a stock GSR pickup... thanks tho
