shifting problem

Default need help

ok here i go, i was in a race when was trying to shift from 2nd gear to 3rd it was not going with grinding noise, i tried once a gain the same thing, if i shift smoothly it goes to 3rd easily, after i was trying to reverse hardly it goes to reverse. also there is grinding sound in the 2nd and the 5th.
do i need to open my tranny????
engine: B16A2
gearbox: S4

Do you need to open it? No. You can have someone else open it. But yes, it will need to be opened in order to be fixed.

if you have grinding in that many gears and it is all of the sudden then either you need to check the trans fluid or the clutch itself. if the tranny is low or out of fluid it cant function right. also if the disc does not stop spinning when the clutch is depressed it will grind. one of my clutches was so worn the springs were in contact with the flywheel and would keep it spinning with the engine and it was hard to shift and grinded. synchro's is what is in that picture. they dont all fail or a lot of them fail all at once.

sounds like you toasted your syncro's(picture above) Fast and Furious Style, I think the labor on those is a lot ( they have to take apart your tranny to replace them), you might get lucky and find a complete tranny for somewhere close to the same price, within 100-200 dollars.

yes i guess im facing a problem with the clutch, also i will check the tranny oil coz i changed it couple weeks before and i guess the labor didnt fill it to the max level
