Default Trade-In Value

1.) Does anyone know what the trade-in value is for an automatic 2006 civic ex, with 4k on it? I ask because I want to get a stick shift instead. (I know, why didn't I do it in the first place... who knows)

2.) Would it be smarter/easier to trade it in for another 06' or just get the 07? What do you think it would cost (just an educated guess), If I were to trade it in.

Try and get an 06. They will be willing to deal a little more than with the 07's. Unless you are going for the Si. Try and work through an Internet Sales Manager (they do not work off commission).

Trade it in. I know in TX, you will get a tax break on your purchase. See Below:

Sale Price 22,000
Trade-In 15,000
Difference 7,000

You may only be taxed on 7,000. Just a thought.

If you get 15k for a EX you are getting RIPPED.

I got 16,000$ for my manual tC with a year's worth of miles on it.

A 06 EX in my area right now with 4k miles and an auto private party lists around 20k. If you were selling it to a dealer that was gonna put it on their lot, youd get damn near close to what you paid for it at this point.

Thats nice, in MD I believe you are taxed on the price of the vehicle before discounts. for example

2005 Nissan Xterra Offroad
$23850 sale price with $1000 discount, but $24850 was taxed
