Default HELP>>>HELP>>>>, engine slugish when vtec engages,

yes when my motor hits vtec it feels really slow and the rpms dont climb as fast, the only code i am throwing is one, which is o2 but i have ran my car many times without one, i have no knock sensor connected it is not throwing that code it is gsr in eg , it is obd1 with obd2 injector clips and injectors on it??? dont know if thats the reason but a buddy has done the same and his car runs fine, i have tried 2 different ecus still same result, making me crazy, the motor makes good power in the low but as soon as vtec, gets slow, , i can hear it engage , i dont know if it some kind of limp mode or what, the ecus work good in another car, i have no clue, some one told me it could be a clogged cat, so ran open header and still no dice, thanks for any input or help,on this problem

i wired up the o2 now no check engine light, its not throwing any codes, it started to do this after i put in a differnt gauge cluster and ecu, , ive tried different ecus still the same, i dont think it could really be the cluster, how ever i am going to change it back and try a non chipped ecu, and try differnt dizzy, thats all i could think of im pretty stumped,???

WELL THE MOTOR KIND OF WOKE UP TODAY, THE VTEC WAS WAY TOO LOW FOR THE CAMS IN IT, GOT A DIFFERENT ECU AND PLAYED WITH THE TIMING AND IT PULLS PRETTY HARD NOW, JUST NEED TO GET TUNED, THANKS
