to all those fearing egr port cleaning
I just finished my wifes and it took a total of about 45 minutes. The instructions i was given on here said to remove the 4 plugs but our car must have a different year motor as there were no plugs, I just drilled and tapped the intake runners. 3 of the 4 egr ports were plugged solid... i ran a small drill bit through them and then shot a whole can of carb cleaner through the 4 ports. I finished by blowing compressed air into the holes i drilled and installed 4, 5/16 bolts with thread sealant into the holes i drilled and tapped. Simple repair with no special tools required and now she owes me 500 dollars (what i was quoted to have this done) worth of something
Actually, i was following up on another post of mine where i was directed on how to do this so i'm not taking credit at all. There was some talk about how hard it was and i was just posting that it was a very easy and straight forward project.
