what is "I" "S" on back of gauges?

Default what is "I" "S" on back of gauges?

hey all,
i'm used to being under the hood of cars. so this may sound dumb to some of u but WHAT IN THE HELL are these letters for on the back of my gauges? i have an oil pressure and a voltage "aftermarket" gauge. could someopne please tell me what the i and the s mean on the back of these? thanx

i is ignition and s is for signal
