no.

the way it's controlled is different.
You may be able to put something togethr if you're able to design and build electronic circuits, but it will never be as good nor as cheap as simply converting to a two wire.

ok.
so i just read what you wrote in another thread.
and tell me if i'm right.
the 2 wires are yel\blk and blk blu.

the yel/blk should be tapd to one of the yel/blk wires on the driver's strut tower?

and the blk\blu to the ecu?

thanks

your ex-ECU plugs should look like that. (OBD2a)
once you have done this conversion the OBD2-->OBD1 harness wil work perfectly.

a bit weird? that would be an understatement.

Which of the wires do you have running to the P28's A12?
the other side needs to run to the yel/blk wires that contain ign power from the main relay. (driver's shock tower)

that is assuming that the wiring is close to that on the USDM cars.

I'm guessing that it stands for... Radiator Fan Control

why use the radiator fan control wire? the ECU needs that to turn on the radiator fan if the coolant gets too hot. (or is your car not wired for that kind of control, it should be)

You have two wires from the ECU to the AICV all ready, use one of them.

either will work since you're moving the pins around anyway.
The other wire will simply do nothing. Unles you need a wire for something else.

If I'm using a p28 and jumper harness do I still need to re-pin wires on the plug that goes into the new jumper harness? So basically can I plug my harness into jumper harness then plug in my p28 and be good?

As long as you have converted the three wire IACV to a two wire IACV on the original OBD-2 style plugs... that means removing the orange wire and moving the black/blue wire to the alternate 2-wire location. Then, when you plug in the adapter harness and your P28 ECU, the IACV should function correctly.

Ok cool thank you, but ok so I'm gonna be a pain in the *** because I got 3 people telling me **** and it's getting annoying so I'm gonna lay it all out on what I got going on so I would appreciate any help please, ok so I have a 1997 ek hatch I'm running a d16y7 block with d16y8 head with y8 mani y8 tb and a p28 auto converted to manual. Wich engine harness will work the best? Should I use y8 engine harness with p28 ecu? Or do I run the y7 harness do the iac conversion then run jumper harness to my p28 ecu

If it were me, I would use the engine harness that CAME in your 1997 EK hatch and modify all necessary plugs to fit your mini-frank engine mess. This engine harness will have a 3 wire IACV, so you will have to convert the wiring at the ECU plugs as well as add the VTEC wiring. Lastly, you will need an OBD-2A -> OBD-1 adapter harness so that you can plug in your P28

Ok cool thank you, so is there any other plugs I need to change? This all on my buddys car and this is the first d series I've done so sorry if it seems like I'm asking stupid questions, so we got rid of the orange wire and moved the black/blue and added the vtec wires, my only other question is about the plugs, will all the d16y7 plugs all plug into the 16y8 plugs on the intake mani, like the map sensor and tps sensor are the same and seems like there are other plugs that go to nothing? So I'm getting confused, basically will his stock harness work for it all other then switching the iac and vtec wires. Do I need to extend some wires? Do I need to swap some of the Grey plugs on y7 harness to plug into y8 map senor and tps sensor and whatnot?

That and the plugs that go into the ecu like the blue one says it's the a plug, the Grey one says it's the b plug but online all the plugs say the Grey one is the a plug and b is blue plug, and since I'm running the p28 do I still need to run a knock sensor? Do I still have to splice and cut wires on the blue plug? Or can I juss re-pin the wires on the Grey plug for iac?
