Default oem Honda d16a6 bearings (mains)

I have a little quandry maybe someone could help me with. I decided to use Oem Honda bearings (main) for rebuilding my d16a6. I figured that I would need 4 green and 1 yellow--green equates to "D" in the Honda part number system and yellow is "E". I ordered the bearings from hondaautomotiveparts and received them. I have 8 seperate bags (4 bearings) that are green (D)--the part numbers on the greens are 13324-ph3-004, and on the actual bearing shell is engraved "5h47h". The 2 bags (1 bearing) that are yellow (E) have a different part number 13325-ph3-004, BUT engraved on the bearing (yellow or E) is the same numbers/letters that are engraved on the green, ie: "5h47h". Now, the bags were never opened, they came sealed in the peach colored bags directly from the Honda wharehouse--I haven't opened them yet because the machine work isn't done and if they are not correct I will return them. My issue is that the old shortblock I tore down had 4 greens and 1 yellow and even though the bearings had different numbers/letters engraved on them (probably because they changed production since the block was from 88) the old greens had different numbers/letters engraved on them than the old yellows--while the new ones I got to build my motor with came in bags with different part numbers but the actual bearings are engraved with the same numbers/letters on both the yellow and the greens. I hope I made this clear and could anyone tell me what numbers/letters were engraved on their OEM d16a6 main bearings in green and yellow? In other words, are all current honda bearings engraved with the same numbers/letters regardless if they are greens, yellows, brown, or pinks? thanks

What color is stamped on the side of the bearings? The pink bags make it kind of hard to tell, I know, but you should have eight halves with a green mark and two with a yellow mark. If not, you got a mix up.

there is no color stamped on the bearings--the pink bags are sealed, are you saying I may have gotten a mix up from whereever they package the bearings? On both yellow and green it says (engraved) the same thing on the main bearings: 5H47H. The 8 "green" bearings have the part number : 13324-ph3-004 on the bag and the 2 "yellows" have the part number (on the pink bag): 13325-ph3-004. Do you see how this is confusing? Also, on the invoice it states I received 8 "bearing D main" (d is equal to green) and 2 "bearing E main" (e is equal to yellow) I don't know what is going on......

The numbers don't mean anything. If they're OEM Honda bearings, there's a color mark on one of the thin edges of each and every bearing half.

Now I ordered them from hondaautomotiveparts.com under 90 Civic si--they had the color selection from red to blue and every color in between. Now when you order mains for a d16y8 they have the colors from red to blue but they have 3 DIFFERENT BRANDS OF OEM BEARINGS!!! They have Daido, Glacier-Vanderwell, and Taiho!!!! The 90 Civic si bearings I got only had a selection of the colors with no "brand name" Now they were oem Honda bearings in oem packaging. I don't see any color markings on any of the bearings....

Whoops!!! I feel like an a**hole!!!! Even though every bearing had the same marking---you were absolutely right and I was wrong. On every "green" bearing there was a little green mark on the side. And on the two "yellow" bearings there were little yellow marks on the side. Thanks for taking the time out to help me. Problem solved.

thanks. I have always used ACL bearings (without a problem) but I wanted to try OEM Honda. Whenever I heard people referring to the "color" that is stamped on the oem bearings, I always thought they were referring to the code in the service manual that corresponds to a color--like c2 or b3--now I realize its an actual "color" that is painted on!!
