Default Vitara piston question on 110,000mi block.

I was just wondering if I could put vitaras in my 110000mi d16z6. The engine "appears" to run fine and has good compression #'s. Are most engines fine with just doing a hone after that many miles? Since the vitaras only come in std. bore.

I would get the block inspected by a Machine shop first... I had good compression on my Z6 block... However, when i went to get the block notched, and honed, the guy told me the cylinders were out of round at the thrust areas, so he suggested a bore especially since i had plans on boosting.... So i had to sell my std bore pistons and buy an oversized set....

all i did on mine was a quick hone to gethte crosshatch back and then dropped the pistons in. my motor had over 100k miles but still appeared in good shape...i also had a machine shop inspect mine...all was good.
