So I'm watching quals from the fall nationals in texas. As this season for me winds down, I'm looking to pick up some sponsors for next season. I plan on making more NDRA and NHRA races next year along with BOTI races.
I'm looking at some of the sponsors on their cars and gear they are wearing. Just wondering if people have approached some of these sponsors inquiring about a potentially less televised sport. If so, what have you seen as reactions?

Francisco, we definately need a broader range of sponsors not just Automotive businesses. We need to get Wonder Bread
, Cialis, Coke, Budweiser, Tide, Yahoo, etc etc etc The Sport Compact Market definately needs these types of sponsors

the hard part is convincing them that you can provide them with the return-on-investment and exposure to the proper demographics. It won't be easy, and I don't see the "average joe drag racer" being able to lure those sponsors in. But, anything is always possible
You just have to target the right ones. Ecko clothes, DVS shoes, etc... worked out very well for those guys.
There's a lot of new energy drinks out there that could use some exposure.
Hip clothing companies, recording artists, record labels, bicycle or motorcycle companies, movie studios, shoe companies, breweries, distilleries, major chain restaurants, fast food, snack foods, soft drink companies, etc....
Need more? I got a million of 'em.....
Just have to put together a professional portfolio, and be a good salesperson, and you could land a pretty good ticket.
Or you could win Lotto!

1 word, equity. if you dont have it, theres a slim to none chance of you getting any real money. your best bet is to find a few people who will cough up 1-5g's and go that route.
