ok just bought my 2nd crx, 1990 crx si, it smokes a little but it only smokes when i get on it hard, go around a hard corner, or when im braking hard then stop. anyone know whats up...checked the oil level its right where its supposed ot be

 

Hmm are you able to tell what color the smoke is by any chance?

 

not really sure it might be blue...everytime it smokes i tryed to hide so i dont look like an *** thats car is falling apart...lol

 

any ideas...i think it might be valve seals but not 100%

 

does the car have a cat? my car does the same **** but its because i have NO cat and i got a pg7 ecu with a dohc zc and aem fuel rail so its runnin a little rich at idle so if i let it sit and idle for a while then hit the gas hella smoke comes out or say i down shift to a stop light then stop it will smoke to...

 

you should have a leak down test done on the car to be 100 percent i took the head off my car to replace valve seals and found out the rings were shot and the valve seals and guides were bad so there ya go..before you try to do anything do a leak down test dont spend money you dont have to it cost me 80 bucks to figure this out

 

the cat was gutted by the previous owner...i know it runs rich but it just doesnt seem like a rich problem...the previous owner put in a walbro fuel pump and a b&m fuel pressure reg...it has a fuel/air gauge and you cant get a good reading off of it because it bounces around all the time(most likely because its taped into the stock o2 sensor? i think)...

it just stumps me because of going around a tight corner and it does it...i would understand if it only did it when pushing hard or stopping
