Anyone Upgraded an 06 SI (NAV) stereo yet?
For the most part I'm pretty happy with my 06 SI. However it lacks a kick *** stereo. I want to keep the head unit but want more out of the stereo.
The stock sub is laughable and the mids/highs are dull and weak.
I have a couple amps left over from in an older system. They are Rockford Fosgate, Punch 800a2 and 360a2. Any Ideas on speakers? I want to keep the stock locations even the factory sub location.

I have a set of JL audio XR 6.5's components, and I'm going to try and get some 5.25 xrs in the rear deck. I dont know if they will work though. The trunk rods are in the way so bigger magnet may be an issue. I mocked up the door speakers and they are going to require some trimming to get the 6.5's to fit. But should go in without a big hassle. I just need to figure out where to stuff the crossovers.
I think for bass I am going to try out the Infinity Basslink II and the integrated amp to run the mids and highs. I think I am going to remove the factory sub as well to allow more air to travel between the cabin and trunk.

I can't say I'm a fan of rockford. I would recommend looking in to brands like boston acoustics & diamond audio, they both make some very good sq speakers

So how would those work? You just connect the stock head unit to that and then your speakers/ amp / sub?
