Default VTEC SYSTEM

WHEN YOU PUT THE HAMMER DOWN ON MY ACCORD IT DOSNT SEEM TO HAVE THE POWER IT SHOULD , SEEMS LIKE 1-4000 RPMS IT PICKS UP GOOD AND AT 4-ON IT DOSNT PICK UP AS MUCH.
SOMEBODY TOLD ME TO CHECK THE VTEC SELINOID, ANY HELP

there's a oil screen you should check for, most of the time it's clogged.

you should be throwing a CEL, but either way I'd say replace the gasket & call it a day, should fix it...

Well 1987 accords don't have vtec. can you give us some more detail? Is this your 94?
BRB i'm gonna put the hammer down in my civic!
(the op is 16 and is expecting an accord to be fast)

Where would the "oil screen" be located?

the solenoid for vtec it is behind the solenoid take it off and you'll find it clean it up with some brake cleaner and blow it off

Man you can put down that hammer verry fast. i can only do it in a couple of sec . what does the hammer have to do with Vtec lol J/k
Check the filter or Fuel Filter iddno have fun With stock Soch vtec
