2nd gear lagging
so it doesnt do this in 1st or 3rd gear?? it could be your o2 sensor (or o2 sensor wiring)
when my wires were loose it felt like the car fell on its face until it got in the higher rpms.

all other gears are fine just 2nd. if o2 it should do it in all gears right? thanks for the help. maybe i need to get off my a$$ and take the gsr out one hatch and put it in. gosh thats going to be a lot of work and i just put the d15 in too.
maybe you put third gear in seconds place by mistake lol j/p if it doesnt drag in any other gear id count fuel out cause if your fuel wwas bad it would bog entirely through any gear i think it might have something to do with your tranny
with the o2 wires loose my car would never bog in 1st or 3rd. mostly 2nd and 5th. the wires were loose, not disconnected. but your situation could be completely different. do you think it might be tranny related??

im not saying it is the tranny im not a certified maechanic so im not going 5to place money on it could be the 02 check it out if not and it isnt something going on with your gears i dont know what to tell you
see thats what i was thinking too. if there is something wrong with the tranny... there is NO advice i can give. ive never heard of power loss in one gear being tranny related, usually its a gear gone notchy or grinding, or doesnt exist, sometimes a specific gear might get loud, but ive never heard of power loss in a specific gear being the fault of the tranny.
i speculate that its something on the fuel ignition side just because the engine is doing different things in each gear as far as load, o2 readings, rate of change in rpm, etc.
i am not a certified mechanic either, i am just saying what my most recent problem was.
the actual problem could be from a list of possibilities. i was just offering a simple thing to check. in my instance, 3 of the o2 wires were just loose so i was getting readings, just bad ones.
