Default 16x8's with +48 offset...??

Hey guys, im hoping to sell my rims soon, so ive started to look for new rims.

Unfortunately my price range is a LOT lower than i had hoped for, which is limiting my list to mostly Rota Cast wheels

I have a good hookup on the rota's and have a list of wheels i can get for cheap.
I will post the list down below, but i was just wondering if Slipstreams in 16x8's with a +48 offset would work? or is the offset a little to high?

Please Post ur favorite rim out of the following choices
FLight
GT3
Subzero
Group N
GRID
Slipstream
Circuit 8
Circuit 10
Boost
Atttack
AutoX
*J. SPecials*

so far id love to get Jspecials, but the guy doesnt know if he can get them for a cheap price because they are so new.

let me know what u think.

THanks

Might work in the front, but in the rear it's probably going to hit on the inside. I personally would not buy them with that offset unless you don't mind running spacers.

You would need a 3mm spacer at the bare minimum, with that width of a rim. If you had to go ROTA, you're better off with the Slipstreams or Jmags, due to their construction being a little more durable than the rest. But, if you ask me, none are good enough for your car.

I like the circuit 8 and 10, Formula (which you didn't list) and the J.SPL. I like a lot of the Rota designs, but there are some real stinkers in the range too IMO.

Your list has a lot of different designs styles in there... i take it you're struggling to narrow down the particular style you like the best?

I dislike the circuit 8's because EVERYONE has a set in vancouver.

Formula 10's are ok, I dislike Formula's because they ONLY come in 18x8's, and id never drive anything bigger than a 16" rim.

I listed ALL the DECENT options that my friend gave me. I myself am leaning toward Slips in Gunmetal or Black with polished lip, becuase i donthtink the J.SpL's will work out for a good deal.

I just wanted other people's opinions on rims, maybe shed some light on a set i wasnt looking to closely at.

On a side note, the buyer I had lined up for my rims has now stopped emailing me back so I might have to put the rims on hold... AGAIN.

Fair enough, i wouldnt want a wheel that is mega popular around my way either.

I didn't realise the Formula only came in an 18. You're right...too big.

Damn, thats crap man.
You've been way unlucky with this.

I'd maybe be tempted by 16in Subzero's or Grids in that case.

I might go grids, i actually had a set of Gunmetal Sub-zero's on the car for 3 days, when i trade with a friend. they didnt really suit it that well.

I might try to get my friends Black with polished lip Grid's so i can see if i like them.

Ive been very unlucky with car stuff lately.
Progress adapter kit is nearing 2 months of being ordered and not being in, and this is the 3rd time these rims have been flaked on.
Its jsut getting old.

absolutely no.
I've got 16x8s with a +38 and they barely, I mean BARELY clear the rear A-arms. I had to adjust my alignment so they wouldn't hit them (toe out). You stick a +48 in there, you'll be scraping the arm all day, not to mention probably rubbing on the upper mount area of the rear tub and possibly even the spring seat in the front. There's just no way. Its hard enough to get an 8" rim in there as it is, putting one in there with a high offset will just make it worse.
