I was wondering if anyone knows if the gsr transmission guts will fit into a Y1 case. I have heard of this being done before and just want to make sure this will work. Its seems possible to put all internal parts in the Y1 case eliminating the need for the cable to hydro conversion. If anyone has done this already let me know.

No it won't fit, you can only do that with a YS1 trans.
