Don't higher K hid kits actually have less light output than something like a 6k kit? In other words hid is pointless unless you have white light coming out, right?

Yes 4300k is optimal.

But everyone likes the slight touch of blue... I would go w/ a 5-6k anything higher you will lose visibility like 8-10k is horrible.

Can't find my pic, but when I do I'll post it up.

only ricers like blue in their lights.

if you want it done right plus looking awesome. go oem retrofit. One, because you'll have 4300K pure white light. Sitting behind the light, the light looks white and easier to see. two, your cutoff will be blue, so on coming cars will think you have 10000K (blue/purple) hid and it flickers.. awesome y0!

4300K hid projectors cutoff in your eyes:

4300K hid projector behind the light:

you could actually remove your eyes, put them in a lead coated box and throw it down a well and still be blinded

I would go 4300k with the yellow fogs....but if you want to look "cool" get 6000k
I think the 6000k is a good balance of light and color
