Default JDM 4-1 header+RSR Ex-mag how much space in between?

does anyone know how long is the gap between the header and the exhaust?

im looking into getting a hi-flow cat however im afraid it would be too long and not fit into the space mentioned. i've seen a couple on ebay but they were 13" in length.

i would like to buy a hi-flow cat since the local muffler shop don't carry hi-flow cats therefore i can't get one from them when i get it welded up.

car info: 92 EG B18C1

what do you guys think of this cat?

Hm, I don't know the exact measurement in inches but I had the same setup before, JDM 4-1 and RSR EXMAG and instead I just used an OMNI test pipe and it fit perfect.

lol. Thats what I did, except im sure he wasnts to use a cat...

I think you have to cut like 3 inches or so off a stock cat for it to fit. The JDM header is longer.

i definately need a cat. we californians have the luxury of getting fat fines for not having a cat on.

this i can promise, jdm header on a 95 gsr, and a exhaust made for a 94-5 gsr, was almost 12" dead on. if my car had a ls/itr length exhuast, the gap would have been differnet, because the oem cats are different lengths, gsr's had short headers..etc

thanks guys. i remember that it was quite a bit of gap in between if one was to swap a b series motor with stock header on a eg chasis and stock pipings, however the JDM header is a bit longer then typical stock b headers.

i'll just get a 11" cat, theres plenty on ebay. if worst comes to worst, i'll have the muffler shop add piping because i dont want them hacking my header or exhaust if its too long.
