Your gauge most likely is broken. It happened twice to me. I ended up buying a new gauge from Japan. Anyways, someone must have removed the screws from behind the fuel gauge and screwed them in too tight. What this does is free spin the threaded part of the fuel gauge. Which in turns rips off the wire that is soldered onto the threaded part (the wire is the coil for the gauge).
It's hard to explain, but this is likely the cause.

no mine works great!..but here's a good ?? has anyone got the fuel light to work on the JDM cluster..i was pretty happy when the rear trunk light indicated the rear was open.

You will need an Integra fuel sender. Then run a wire to the correct pin. I've gotten to wire the door and trunk indicators, but have yet to find an Integra fuel sender.
