I recently bought one from showstoppers and the fitting wasnt great...right side lifts up little more than the left...when it's closed, actually left side is alighed perfectly with the fender line...not the right one though..anyone have similar issues? plus I hear sand like particles inside the hood... anyone?

I don't have a cf hood for my Si but in my experiences with other cars, CF parts tend not to line/fit as well as stock parts. I think it is a just a by-product of the materials used.

 

Try unscrewing the little rubber stopper on the side in question and see if that raises the one side of the hood. I cleaned under my hood awhile back and must have touched them causing my hood to sit lower, so I just unscrewed the stoppers a bit and lone be hold, it hood lined up again.
