Here goes nothin
Well, here's my ride: http://s46.photobucket.com/alb...civic
It's not good enough for the EK Squad, but for obvious reasons. Im 18, no job, just school. The car looks way better in person, and sorry for the quality of the pics, doesn't do it justice. The car used to be a racer, but now I just drive here and there. It's banged up with battle scars(scratches) but its clean at the moment. I don't live in Cali so don't criticize about it not being OEM JDM...blah blah, it's not from Japan, and its missing tons of stuff. But alas, I have no money. Got it for $4500, sits on 19's(I know they are really wide and big) and etc. Has HID's, has nitrous, etc etc. Used to have $2500 spent on seats, but now it just has GSR seats. It needs some other stuff too. Tell me what you think of it. I leave it now to Mark to explain to any critics my situation, thanks mark!

well its a good platform to start off on... but if i were you id sell the things you dont really need or use and get more functional stuff (ie smaller rims), you know recycler the money you make seliing things from the car and put it back in the car... oh yeah why do you have two different colored rims?

You guys talking about the custom setup in the rear? These aren't all the pics, there are more on the gallery.
Um, about the rims, well they are custom RH GT5's, special order. I have never personally seen a civic on 19's, but hey being the only one with them isn't bad. People in my area love the car and the rims, and the interior and the custom setup for the speakers. 3000 watts in total, but I'm not much into the music. Bought it for other reasons. It rides really well, and isn't dropped that much--the rims make it look more lowered in fact. I take the speed bumps at high speeds hehe.

first off, yeah thats definately a good platform to start with. although the car has a couple weird things going on, it doesnt look like its been beat to hell.
second, do you know how dangerous it is to run without a lug nut on a hub that only has 4 lugs to begin with?
the car has a few problems like oversized wheels, the missing lug nut, and the confused side moldings, but those are all very easy fixes, except maybe the side molding issue.
with the moldings, i don't know if you noticed but the rear quarter panel and front fender holes for side moldings are already filled, so you have two choices to make it look correct:
1. remove the moldings from the door and fill those holes and repaint the door.
2. cut new holes with a dremmel and cutting wheel on the fenders and rear quarter panels, paint paint some new side moldings, and put them on.
i think the car would look great with the moldings removed from the doors and have the indentation empty like it is in the front and rear, but that would be quite a bit more work to repaint the doors rather than just painting a couple new moldings.
also, you sure will be AMAZED at how much better the car performs with normal sized wheels.
it won't feel like a slow turd anymore.

Well, I can take out the molding, its not a problem. I have the other ones painted. The roll cage is custom, it's very nice actually, and goes with the contours of the previous seats. I personally liked it that way.
That one molding looks retarded. Fix that and get some 15 or 16" rims. And swap out those P5s for some decent subs that also require a 1.0-1.25ft sealed enclosure. Good luck with the project.

oh thats good, but you do understand what im saying right?
if you take out the door moldings, it will have a bunch of holes, not clean like fender and rear quarter panel... or are those door moldings just on there with adhesive??? that would be awesome if they were.

Thanks for the opinions guys, it does help. I knew I needed smaller rims, Im into 17's, and I had my eyes on ce28n's. But It will take a while before I get the money to do everything I want. Honestly, I was just thinking of not modifying my car too much, because Im going to save up for the new TSX coupe, said to come out in 2 years.

Racer or Ricer?
4500... Pretty good deal though.
If anything, go pick up some lugs at least.
Those are some expensive wheels though. hahaha
You'll end up making half the money you spent on the car by just selling the rims.
