do you have a catch can set up? If so, do you have any blow by collected in it?

what kind of driving are you doing? long highway commutes or just city driving?

have you tried any other viscosity or brand oils?

sounds like my B18C. If i daily drive it nice and slow and stick the speed limit and stay outta vtec its fine. the first time i rev it up the the 8400 revlimit, it smokes bad! black and blue..

my compression numbers are good too, 190-200psi across all 4. Leak down is between 5-12% in all 4.

i take my to the track often and it barly smokes. i took it to infineon two weeks ago and it only show a puff of smoke once or twice.

seems like the more i beat it up, the less it smokes.

id say maybe your oil ring is worn, or your valve guides are leaking.

either way, keep driving it till she blows!

Does it smoke during deceleration? Does it smoke whem you rev to 6500 in neutral?

What octane are you using and is the motor tuned?

i have no catch can. mostly city, using Mobile 1 5W 30.. didnt really try any other oil after my rebuild

it smokes when i am on the gas. punching it from lower RPM.. and it smokes when i let go the gas.. bringing the rpm down slowly.

and how long do you guys think before my motor goes BOOM.. i JUST rebuilt it.. it has 4000-5000 km on the new motor now

Its highly likely your valve guides need to be replaced. Problem solved.

You probably overheated the pistons causing them to expand and scar the sleeve walls...

yeah you can't run stock pcv system on nearly 13:1 compression motor. That **** isn't keeping up. Get that, but you still prolly got bad valve seals if you are saying it smokes when you get off the gas too.

Well i went thru a lot of shat with my motor burning oil. First..all the valve guides were bad so they had to be replaced..so i figure that would solve the problem..nope..head goes back to the machine shop and they accidently messed up 2 valve guides in #1cly..soo they fixed it for free and now i have no smoking problems. Also..dont smoke ciggs around ur car,it will pick up ur bad habits

Did you tune the A/F ratio before driving it at all? Synthetic oil isnt an oil you should be using to break-in an engine. If you didn't, you either washed your cylinder walls with too much fuel and scored the cyclinder walls, or your piston got too hot and the pistons over expanded causing piston skirts to score your cylinder walls.

more details can be found below.

That is pure horse ****. Synthetic oil MOST DEFINITELY is an oil. Im sick of this bull **** that you should break in with "natural oil" The only difference between dino oil and syn oil is

dino oil is about 10% wax and is filled with other ****.
Dino oil has mixed molecule sizes that cause bad lubrication over time much quicker.

Syn oil has no wax. Syn oil has all identicle molecules.

Use syn always. The end

Get two catch can's. One to go between the valve cover breather and your intake, and a second setup like the Endyn system. That will replace your stock PCV system.
