Default Trying to pick a GT series turbo. Which one for my D16?

I've decided that next spring I'm going upgrade my turbo setup on my D16Z6.

I want to go to 350whp next. What GT series turbo is good for 350-400whp? I want a little room to grow, but I don't need a turbo capable of 600-700whp.

That was the first one I wanted, but the guy at the local shop said that a GT30 would be better.

I want as little lag as possible, but I still want to be able to make a little more if need be.

What are the HP limitations on the GT28 GT30?

I've tried to read the How-Tos, but I just couldn't figure out the damned compressor maps.

Bump.

Still looking for the HP limits of the GT28s and GT30s on a single cam.

Thanks.

GT2871R T3 drop in with a .63ar for stock redline or .86ar if you plan to rev higher, these turbos are rated for 400hp in their stock form( using a t25 flange) so by using a t3 drop in you should get a lil more out of it....you will loose some spool time but not much. My GT2871R spools faster than my SC50 that I had and the GT is bolted to a Ram horn where the SC was bolted to log mani.

GT2871R .63AR T3 drop in, i'm using the stock tial wastegate setting 7psi spring and i get 7psi around 4300 in 4th gear. I could probably spool it a little sooner if i lean my 0-4psi range in the low 13's high 12's afr's. Also my intercooler setup isn't as optimal as it should be.
