Default something different:: my bentley black wald w124 buildup process/pix =)

updated on last pg. some of the older pix dont work now. sorry

SMALL UPDATE ON PG4

i wanted to build something different than what im use to. ive had fast hondas, built show hondas, show and go wrx. here are a few ive built and sold.

for my next car i wanted something bigger, more "mature", automatic and comfortable. oh and paid off, that was important. i wanted to get into luxury tuning (eh.. vipish for those who keep up) but didnt wanna go with everyone else doing lexus. so why not a mercedes right? i shopped and shopped. i bought a 93 190e and a wald kit, sold it after a month because it was too small (see: http://www.houston-imports.com...98775) and right afterwards i found a dark blue 1995 e320 on ebay. it was local too. so i picked it up and went to town with it.

my inital goal was to play off of the fabolous s-class. this is what i wanted mine to look like:

but this is what i was stuck with lol

step 1 was the exterior

so i ordered:

avantegarde grille
euro glass headlights with HID and clear corners
wald v2 kit from sander @ the wheel supply
wald foglights with HID
wald emblems
window visors
custom led tailights

work done:
all dents taken out
antenna shaved
shaved emblems
complete respray of bentley black (motor pulled, interior pulled, etc)

the process:

yes, an integra hood. laugh it up.

eh, more.

ba boom!

random crap:

eh sure why not

my bitch. waited 5 months for it and well worth that wait i must add.

w00t for dust collecting

pulled her out for a drive. but still not done body wise (as you can see, still not washed)

i still have some body mods that need to be done before im satisfied. my wheels should be here in a few weeks (moderately wide, crazy low offsets.. unheard of! lol). im also in the process of building a custom air suspension kit but it sits fine on springs in the mean time i guess. my goal is to daily drive and show the car when i get the chance. its been a fun build to say the least. ill post more progress as i get things so just keep an eye out.

heres a run down on mods and prices for my own book keeping.

- brand new bentley black paint job ($4000)
- custom body work (antenna shaved, emblems shaved, not a single dent on the entire car)
- authentic wald v4 kit ($2300)
- authentic wald foglights ($500)
- european glass headlights with clear corners($350)
- authentic avantegarde grille ($200)
- intrax springs with custom spring rates ($400)
- bilstein yellow sport shocks ($550)
- wald type 1 emblem set ($300)
- wald 124 front euro plate ($100)
- custom updated tails with LED ($400)
- 18x8 + 38 work euroline DH ($2500)
- brand new unmounted 225/35/18 tires ($500)
- custom 2" amg fender spacer kit to clear low offsets ($50)
- 15mm wheel spacers for the rear/10mm for the front ($200)
- s500 wood grain steering wheel ($250)
- and a lot more im sure im missing.

and if you hate my car, im sorry. deeply sorry. i just wanted to build something a bit different from the norm.

thx HT!
houston, tx represent! (ok, ill stop)

Nothing negative to say here.
Good stuff man.
Nice to see someone step outside the norm (jdm hondas & drifter 240s).

not too shabby, but you're missing one thing. The wheels!
19x10.5 -30 rear and 19x9 -18 front; would set that car off right.

here's a set of equip for 1300 bucks:

you can find him on zilvia.

not bad for texas, the vip style probably isn't that popular. Out here in so cal, it's a big thing.

japanese WALD product with a UK/Euro plate on a euro car. ironic hehe.

thanks everyone.

those wheels are too wide. because of the shitty w124 suspension setup, its almost impossible to run anything over 8.5"

blah
