Every Morning when I start my Prelude h23a. I hear a loud oh screeching noise. I am assuming its the a/c compressor.

Ususally Cold starts makes this screeching sound. It's nothing Internal. I assume it's the A/c compressor?

Im pretty sure it's the Compressor. What does it mean if your A/C compressor Screeches? The mechanic said "Your A/C compressor Clutch is out" or something is broken inside.

After I paid for the Damn FREON, He told me.

you have loose belts.....retighten them.

serpentine belts. replace dem chits.

 

i had the same exact problem on my h23a. it is the clutch on the a/c compressor. your belts would sqeuak but not that badly. you can try the belt but if it still squeaks the problem is the a/c compressor.

i fixed mine when i removed the a/c

 

Yeah, I am going to remove the A/C . But just HESITant about the Alternator belt.

WHat size belt did you buy? to Bypass the Compressor? just from the Crank to the Alternator.

go to kragen and ask to buy an alternator belt. they'll ask you for the a/c or non a/c version. buy the non a/c version. gatorbacks do the job.

 

Mines does the same thing too, Sometimes on cold starts and every other 3-4 starts.. How do I tighten my belts?

 

if the belts are as tight as they should be, the ac compressor is going bad. Both ps and ac have adjusters on them. Just tighten both.
