You get what you pay for. You can get a quick full throttle tune for cheap or you can get a comprehensive tune and pay a bit more. Most customers drive their vehicles on the street, so a complete tune of part throttle maps and the full throttle maps yield much happier customers. Full throttle tuning can also be done quickly, or more thoroughly. Just getting a flat 13.2:1 A/F ratio is fairly easy. Fine tuning the ignition timing at each rpm point takes more time, but can net you much more satisfactory results. On a finely tuned engine, a difference of 1/4 degree here or there can result in a difference of 2 hp.
At Church Automotive Testing we strive to tune each vehicle for optimum drive-ability and maximum horsepower. We attempt to do a complete tune in 2 hours or less, in order to give the customer a comprehensive tune without emptying their wallet. If the customer so desires we can spend the extra time to squeeze out those last few HP, but we also offer maximum value to our more budget conscious customers.
There are few things more satisfying than tuning a car and getting better results than anticipated, and seeing the happy smiles on a customer's face after they take their vehicle for a test drive

to Whitfield Racing. Not only was the price good , Chris took the time to explain to us what he was doing and why. Also made some helpful reccomendations on what we should do next to increase the power. Money(and time off from work)well spent.

That's what we charge.
That's what we charge.
The price of your dyno tuner's fees has nothing to do with how good he is at what he does.
Do some research, learn what the basics of tuning theory & simply talk to the tuner(s) for your self to choose one.

But thanks for the link, dude.

Do you have to go over the Grapevine to get to either Whitfield or Churches? Or does anyone know a really good tuner in NorCal?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I got my car tuned by Lawrence at Dynospot Racing. It runs well.
