chirping sound from my belt?

Default chirping sound from my belt?

i drive a 2002 dx civic. and everytime i run my car in the morning for example if i drive it to school and when im parked my car makes a chirping sound and it seems like its coming from the belt what are the possibilies of this happening?

does it do it while turning? = low PS fluid maybe

Does it do it when the cars cold only?

a little more info is needed.

Or open the hood and listen hard.

yeah one of my friends asked if it did it when i turned the steering wheel. YEAH it does and they said it might be a barring?

now that u mentioned listen harder it seems like its coming from the block. expletive i think thats bad already. should i go to the dealer and get a diagnostic. but i dont wanna pay80 bucks for someone to tell me somethings wrong with my car.

if ur low on power steering fluid, they can make a dEADLY whine, also if the alternator belt is to TIGHT they can also make a whine.

IMO $80 is a small price to pay for piece of mind, know ur car is in good hands.

I used to do ALL the repairs/engine work on my old b18a'd CRX, IMO its just not worth it unless u know everything. Its very hard for someone learning to tackle everything wrong with their engine.

Now with my 01 i take it to a shop, I trust them more than I trust myself, and at nearly 200,000km's on my engine , the engine is still running BEAUTIFULLY!

you probably just have a loose belt. how many miles are on it?
