A bad Day for a rex.
So i go to the local pick and pull ( junkyard ) to ****** more parts off this 88 hf that was in pretty bad shape ( already took bumpers and trim mouldings off ) and its not in its spot im accustomed to seeing it at. I go inside to inquire of the rex as i needed a alternator bracket.
The guy behind the counter smiles a half smile and then points out the window. I see the pretty blue rex being put on the crusher pile. The guy radios the operator and says put the rex down this guy wants some parts off that little blue car.
I only needed the alternator bracket so i took it off in all of 2 minutes. I sat there for another 10 trying to figure out if anything else was salvagable out of the poor car. Even had a nice set of VTEC tails on it with amber corners too bad that the fork lift went through all 3 of them
.
i left silently happy that i got my part, for free because they are just gonna crush her, but distrought at the death of another rex.
Dont think the thought didnt cross my mind on trying to save it, but shee was much to far gone.
RIP poor 88 HF you will be missed
