noob to compression question. what exactly does raising your compression do? it says that adding a .45 mm head gasket can raise compression by roughly .2. raising compression in a b16 by .2 what will that do? more hp? faster acceleration? thakns in advance.

 

raises compression which makes the combustion area smaller so the explosion is contained in a smaller area.
