it seems that after this statement i have other questions. The reason im getting a new one is because mine broke off, obviously. Now it seens that the hooks are stuck inside the little white clips.

(a) does anyone know how to get the pieces of plastic out of the white clips, and, more importantly

(b)how to remove the door sash from another crx without breaking off the hooks?

p.s. This tread is getting so spicy it is making my butt burn when i poop!

I was lucky...I just repaired this the other day on my car, but my garnishes weren't broken off completely, "the tops of my garnishes were sort of leaning away from the car at the top". Well to repair this I got me some LOCK-TITE crazy glue and unscrewed the plastic pieces still held down by the screw, and completely removed the garnishes on both sides...(luckily the pieces were still there) then just superglued them and let it dry for about 15 minutes then very carefully put them back on and now they are fine even under my top speed of 95 mph on a gradual decline.

If you want that look just buy carbon tape sheet and stick it on, I had a mate who done it and it looked ok.

I think you have it weird. crx ones are plastic, they all are. the small ones are for the non-door-seatbelts. I have three hatches, two 90's and a 91, and they all have metal.

anyway, i was hoping the hatch ones would work on a crx, but nope. too tall.

well .. not sure but thats what i was asking

My 89 hatch has screws for both pillars.. (88-89 )

wasn't sure about the CRX

just stating how i hate clip style because they are very hard to take off, especially after 15 years of weather abuse.
