Default open tial 38mm WG with 7psi spring, boostin 10psi??

I have a 7psi spring in my WG. when i was running stock exhaust it would hit 7psi fine. well now i got 3in straight back. no cat/no resinators/no muffler. it jumps to 10psi almost all the time. i dont want that. its a H series an im not trying to blow it right now. do i need to restrict the exhaust some to bring it down?? i dont know if i want to do that.

where is the the wastegate positioned to on the manifold?

do you happen to have a picture?

You could always compensate for it by installing a lighter spring.

thats good wastegate placement. I wonder what is causing your boost creep.

I would guess it's mostly from your more freeflow exhaust, try a lower boost spring,
or tune it for running higher boost.

try a smaller spring, that should help open it sooner. If that doesnt prevent it from creeping, do you happen to know the size of the hole cut for the wastegate tube? I'm sure its fine but I'd check to make sure.

Take the wastgate off and check to make sure that the hole in the manifold is enlarged to the same diameter as the elbow leading to the wastgate.

I've seen this problem before and that was the reason why. With the new 3" exhaust, it's now easier for the gases to go through the turbo, and pressure in the mani has dropped.
