I have read a bunch off post on hear about main relays causing intermittent starting problems in civics esp with change in temp. A good friend of mine just picked up a mid 90s Accord. It was quite cheep the owner had told him that it had starting problems when the car was in the sun all day. After having the car a few weeks he has had several times it would not start in the middle of the day. I have yet to see the car. Okay boys and girls here is the ?Does anyone know if they have the same main relay problems as the civic

 

yes they do, its almost more common on the accords.

 

thanks that is what I was thinking it might be.

 

just tell him to listen for the fuel pump prime next time it does it. turn key on, CEL on fuel pump prime, CEL off. if that isnt the sequence its most likely main relay
