it is a good header if ur on a budget. the primarys are bigger than any other "budget" header out there, but like jamessh1 said it's good to make the 2.5" collector. i had one on my mild built gsr for 7 months, making 207whp but kept the 2 1/4" collector ...recently switched to a jerrybuilt smsp copy header and gained 6whp from it.

Considering summit is blowing out the 2 piece version for $129 right now, its an awesome bargain. I just bought one and will be doing the collector mod.

Check it out.

AWESOME. Im buying one. Even tho its 16x for a 94 gsr one...only had polished.

On a side note, that size says the collector is 2.5". Some say its 2.25? What is the actual size. 2.5 wont bolt up to stock cat.

They are all 2" collector stock, unless you get the 3" race downpipe.

Yeah summit lists the wrong specs. They also say the primaries are 1 5/8 when they are actually 1 3/4".

Thanks for the replies I think I may get one of these over a used Greddy, but I don't see an application for my 98 Civic EX (D16Y8)?
I'm not 100% sure the 92-95 Civic EX one fit my 98?

I have had good experience from These headers, I live in CA so you cant really run "non-carb" approved headers on the street. I made 4.5 horsepower in the mid range over the 4into1 DC carb headers.

Thats a pretty good gain
That's roughly $29.30 per horse not a bad deal.

But do the 92-95 Civic EX headers fit a 98 Civic EX ???

if you look down the 1 piece version os 394 dollars. there is NO WAY that the 2 piece is the same header, jsut 2 pieces. there is also no way it is in anyway better or will m ake more power than the 1 piece and if it does, someone please do tell.

im thinking the 2 piece is hardly better than the old DC

youre missing the point as usual

some people are confused, thinking the 2 piece is the same as the one piece, just a larger collector and....2 pieces.

i dont think with that price difference its the same header.

and quit with the bold

it can't be. my 2 piece jg/edelbrock (proflow) was $600cad about 3 years ago. they couldn't have chopped the price 75%.

thats what im saying. i think the 1 piece and 2 piece are totally different headers. only way we will know is if 2 people measure and post.

They are on CLEARANCE, the 2pc is discontinued. Until you have this header in hand you will not appreciate the great deal.

neither the 2pc or the 1 pc have a 2.5 colector. the 2pc was made to bolt the 3 inch down pipe to which is also on clearance
