WATER IN THE MOTOR!!! HELP
two days ago, it was raining real bad and i was driving, some water happened to get into my motor b/c when i check the oil a day after i had drivin in the heavy rain, i found water bubbles on the dipstick, the water went into the shortram intake b/c i did not close up the hole whre the stock intake system sticks out. The motor still runs fine but i dont want to risk other problems arising, will a COMPLETE MOTOR FLUSH take the water out of the motor or do you have any other suggestions, iam a college student and there are no performance shops around here so in order to avoid driving too far to find someone, i was thinkin i could just easily get a motor flush in a near by auto mechanic . PLZ suggest any solutions to this porblem * keep in mind, the motor is still running soundly*
how is water going to get in your oil if it was sucked up in the manifold? water in the coolant means a blown headgasket...the only other thing i could imagine is that enough water got in the combustion chamber that it did not get hydrolocked but enough to get past some slightly leaking piston rings into your oil...i dont even know if its possible that could happen but its the only thing i can think of...best bet is to change your oil and see if it still happens...if it does then its your Hg
the thing is, i ran into a bigg **** puddle that was on the side of the road, and the intake filter head is sittin on the whole where the stock intake use to stick out. I have never had thoe water particles in my oil, this just happened after the day i drove it around in heavy rain.
the motor is still running soundly? thats very very odd seeing how it sucked up all this water...my only advice to you besides tearing it apart is to change the oil ,,and just drive it..
