Default stock springs, 11's hopefully? problem?

in order to clear my new slicks (24.5'') i need to raise the car up. i have great condition stock springs i can throw on easily. i run H&r race springs (low).

the struts are Koni yellows, so i'll set them to full stiff, etc. will the car drive nicely with soft springs? i assume so, but i'd like another opinion.

rears are gonna stay the way they are (h&r race/koni yellows)

fronts are just gonna be stock springs w/koni yellows. i'm guess its gonna be fine, just wondering if anybody has experience w/ stockers up front and big slicks. i'm hoping it wont be to rolly-polly. it will just be that way for the track though

I was wondering the same. I think the stock springs are gonna hurt your 60ft. times.

I think I know of someone that went 9's on stock front springs and cheaper Ractive coilovers in the rear. On top of that the rear coilovers had Prelude front springs on them I believe.

I had a similar situation where I put the stock springs and shocks on my car to raise up the front to clear the 24.5x9.2x15 slicks...I pulled off low 1.8 60fts that night with a best of a 1.70

holy crap, the best i've ever done is 1.98 or something. on 22'' slicks.

i dont think the 60 ft's can get worse. 1.7 60 fts =seriously better than mine.

i'm setting the koni-s to full still too, so i'm not too worried

If all you got was a 1.9 on the 22's you had some other issues other than the slicks you should take care of. Many people do 1.7's or better with 22's, bumping up to 24's I don't think is the answer to all your problems.

89 HF, stock suspension on Tokico blues, 24.5X9X13 ET Drags, Skank2 900 lb drag springs in the rear:

7.15@106 in the 1/8th with best trap speed of 107.8, at no time has the car broken out of the 1.8x 60', and running over 17 psi just slows it down due to wheelspin. Time to get kicked off a 1/4 track for no cage, eh?

other issues=me not being able to drive.

the 22's light up about 30ft out when i roll into boost hard, that seemed to be the problem. no fancy boost controller here either. i did a 1.8 on the 24.5's this sunday, didnt get too much of a chance to beat on the car (rained out, only got a few passes in)

the clutch gave out in 4th gear now though, it just couldnt hold it. looking for a new clutch. it 100% would have ran 11's if it werent for that. i let off when i shifted to 4th and it slipped, and still ran a 12.4@105. i was running 12.4@116 before on the 22's...the taller tires just made it too hard on the clutch.

IS there any truth for the front being the softest as possible? I have my ksports set to the stiffest rear possible, and what should the fronts be set to?
