bad clutch pedal feel
The car in question is my 89 CRX Si, just replaced the engine with a sohc zc, a newer used Si tranny and a exedy oem replacement clutch and pressure plate, with a clutchmasters lightened flywheel. (about 10k miles old now)
Today when I was driving all of a sudden I realized my clutch pedal felt "muddy". Thats the only way I can describe it, normally the engagement and disengagement is very clean and distinct. Normally the engagement is near the the top when you engage the pedal, you can just tap the pedal to shift. It changed to where I had to push the pedal all the way in and it still felt like it was barely disengaging.
I checked the clutch cable and it was alittle loose, so I tighted it up and it got better, but it still feels muddy, its not as clean feeling as it was before.
Is this a sign of a bad clutch cable or could it be something else? Im guessing the clutch cable, how hard are they to replace? Thanks for any advice.
