p30 vs stock ls oil pump????

Default p30 vs stock ls oil pump????

what is the difference in them? i have the p30 now on my ls but i think its leaking somewhere so im thinking about throwing the stock ls oil pump back on.

I dont think the ls pump suplys as much oil pressure due to the non vtec..
not 100% possitive but it will still work.

Why did you put the GSR/Type R pump on in the first place? Are you revving higher? Do you have VTAK?

nope, gotta use the higher pressure GSR/typeR pump. Don't be stupid

think i found the leak. it was from the 12 or 14mm allen bolt above the oil pump. when i built the motor i must not have reefed on it because oil was clearly coming out there and then leaking down the block and to my pan. could see it because the timing belt cover and axles were on before

yeah but id like to know wher the difference is? more fins or what? what makes it provide more oil pressure

Well I know you need a different timing belt for the differnt water pump. I've never taken a close look at both of them but I would say probably larger "fins" and provide extra flow in the higher rpms

They probably are the same teeth. I'm talking about the internals of the pump itself is different.
